A Place to Belong - video installation
The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens
Lilach Schrag grew up in Israel, and lives in Chicago as an immigrant and a Jewish woman. She turns to nature, and myths in search of an alternative existence and and physical and fantastical belonging. This work offers a glimpse into the thick of the forest or the depths of the soul, where hybrid beings perform mundane activities in a metaphorical attempt to adapt and at times struggle with their surroundings or themselves.
