The Golem photographs are a documentation of the nine six-foot-long creatures of sand I created in the ten days I spent alone in a ravine by Lake Michigan. I hoped that reenacting the steps of the creation of the Golem would bring insights about the process of creation (art or life), about living to serve a certain purpose, and about the meaning of magic and protection. At some point, I even hoped to see my Golems come to life
